Is Going Viral Pure Luck?

I see so many people bragging about how they are making a ton of money from a social platform, and that it all just sort of happened. While we would all love to have the success, I feel like going viral and getting rich from these platforms are pure luck.

Before you being bashing me, let me explain. I understand that these viral videos are often posted after someone has spent a ton of time creating other content. They have posted countless videos after spending countless hours creating and editing. Then a video goes viral, and it just spirals up from there.

Yes, their luck was not some lucky coincidence, but I feel like going viral is by luck. What algorithms feed and how often it is seen are definitely luck of the draw. I know it is based on likes and shares, but I also feel like it is based on random numbers that we never really know or have full disclosure of the total information.

Maybe I’m totally off base. If you have gone viral, kudos to you. If you are making a ton of money, I’m so happy for you. If you haven’t but you want to, just keep creating content. Maybe one day your number will come up, and you will be the lucky new influencer.
