Time Seed Emission

Episode 1e450

“One e four fifty.”

“The number of possible ideas any person may ever think — 1500 bits of quantum information.”

“This is a time seed.” Kessler Bert’s radiant blue eyes glistened as the brilliant young mathematician points toward a blinding ball of light shining into existence in the middle of Macy Cayley’s small but cozy lab .

With every visit to these first moments [Macy, …] is always awed by the thought that the entire human experience is reducible to a time evolution operator applied to 1500 qubits.

It was this kind of thinking that led to the most [celebrated, divisive, …] discovery [ever, possibly, …] made in the human [race, walk, yoga, …, narrative, history, story]. The [dis, un, re]covery of telepathy.

By coupling 1500 qubits, via wormhole connecting entangled black holes dual with mirror neurons, the circuit was [re, …] found in proximate spacetime by [Susskind, …].

Image 7112009 from May’s Dream

Newport Beach, CA — 2017

The soft nudge from a warm beam of sunlight was enough to wake May into the blue sky of a bright clear August day.

As she opened her eyes not a single thought came except the blissful feelings that permeate healthy bodies and go largely unrecognized and unsavored by youth.

The photons inside of May’s optical cavity more commonly referred to as her brain then began responding with thoughts from a young boy that happened to gaze upon light entangled with an image May also happened to consume. What resulted was a new idea for each of them.

To May, who had spent the greater part of her most recent 15 years designing and teaching machines and people to detect, recognize, and identify whatever paying customers wanted, it was too clear for her not to know her world was soon to change in ways she couldn’t possibly fathom. It was the first time she wondered about what signatures the discovery of immortality would render upon culture.

She was aware of the necessary technology but had until this moment considered it at least 10 years away. Now she began considering another possibility; one that was well grounded in the theory of information pioneered by Claude Shannon. Essentially, she considered the case that immortality had already been discovered and that the only thing standing between her social network and this knowledge was a single want from any immortal.

Cordwainer’s idea was equally infinite.
