Difference Between Impact Crusher and Hammer Crusher

There are four obvious differences between the impact crusher and the hammer impact crusher. These four points are the working principle, the scope of application, the adjustment method of the discharge particle size, and the wear rate of the wearing parts.

The impact crusher adopts a fixed rotor structure, and the rotational inertia force of the rotor can bring more power to the machine, so the impact crusher can crush larger and harder materials. The impact crusher can also handle materials with high moisture content and does not need to be equipped with a sieve plate. It only needs to install a heating device between the impact crusher and the impact plate to prevent the wet materials from sticking and not cause the machine to block;

The feed of the hammer crusher is generally less than 400mm, which is suitable for processing small pieces of materials with slightly lower hardness. It is not recommended for hammer crushers to crush relatively wet materials.

The load of the impact crusher is mainly on the blow hammer. When the rotor speed is normal, the feed material will fall to the surface of the blow hammer (the striking surface), and the back and side of the blow hammer are not worn, so only one surface is easy to wear, even if The wear on the side facing the material is also very small, and the bottom grinding rod is also easy to replace, so the wear rate is low; the main working part of the hammer crusher is the rotor with the hammer (also known as the hammer head), which is driven by the motor. The rotor rotates at high speed in the crushing cavity, and the hammer head needs to be repeatedly beaten on multiple sides, which is the main wear-resistant part, so the wear is relatively fast.
